To protect the society, the inspectors of the crime investigation department carry a special kind of weapon. Inspector Erica, Ray and Alex of division 1 investigate the crimes, and the reason behind it.
Max Kaginuki, is a man responsible for several crimes and criminal investigation department officers are in search for him, he wishes the destruction of the system, were people’s lives are judged through machines. Max is a humanist on the dark side: someone who is in love with cruelty, savagery and all the worst aspects of human nature with no qualms about witnessing or causing others suffering. He has the ability to manipulate people to do his bidding, possessing both uncommon charisma and he feels no emotion about dealing death to those who either stand in his way or those of whom he’s grown tired, either with his own hands or through his pawns. He enjoys reading books and is greatly in love with Shakespeare’s works. He is often seen reading and even quoting texts from his desired books occasionally. It was until; he fell in love with Rica.
While working on his next treachery, he entered into Maya academy where he disguised himself as an art teacher. There he met her, for the first time and slowly started falling for her. He even kidnapped her, and killed the only people she lived with, forcing her to stay with him. Rica hated him to death, until she spent time with him and gradually started understanding him. When the police caught her, using her as a bait to lure him in, he went to save her. These incidents changed her feelings for him, and eventually she started loving him.
The story speaks of the cruelty of human nature and bitter sweet romance. It talks about how modern society has lost its value, due to technology.
Later in the story, as the crimes go deep, he knew that it was too late for him to return back alive. The police would either catch him, or else he will be killed by the hands of Ray.
