A new upcoming British film – The Armour of Light is set to take horror and paranormal to a different level. Set to a realistic tone the film will take a subtle approach, but not disappointing when it comes to scary moments. When Natalie, her husband Steve and son Alex move into a new house in a quaint British town, little do they know that the house has an entity that listens to them. On walking in they can feel the stale air has something unusual about it. Little paranormal occurrences lead to bigger, more dangerous occurrences. We get a glimpse of the evil history of the house and the secret society that used the house in the past. Even pulling down the old house did not end the entity, and it passed on to the new house that came up on the same land. The tragic incidents lead to deaths, but is Alex able to break free from the net and come out safely? That is a question that only the viewers will find out. The film is in pre-production.
The Armour of Light is a movie adaptation from the a novel by the same name, authored by Andrew Webb. The screenplay is written by Tias Banerjee with additional screenplay writing by Pinaki Ghosh. Author Andrew Webb said the novel is inspired by occurrences in his own life while he had moved into a house with his family. The house was sold 4 times because families moving in could not stay and it is presently unoccupied.

Congratulations on the release of ‘Kuldharar Guptodhon’. Tell us something about your book. How is it different from other books of the same genre?
Answer: Till date I am written Shorts scripts for drama and short films. Kuldharar Guptodhon is my first attempt to write a big story. It is a desert adventure based on a local folklore of Kuldhara, Jasalmer, Rajasthan.
This story is not a typical treasure hunt but a bit different which encompasses the contemporary historical events, heart touching love stories and Jwatishwar (the reincarnated)
As a medical practitioner and gynaecologist, how do you balance your demanding profession with creative pursuits like writing Kuldharar Guptodhon?
Answer: It is difficult to continue my creation with my challenging professional activities but new creation definitely rejuvenates me and for this I have to make some professional sacrifices and adjustments as well.
The myth of Kuldhara is rich with history and intrigue. What drew you to this legend, and how did you decide to frame it in the context of a desert adventure?
Answer: Since childhood I am a voracious reader and read different types of books side by side of my schoolbooks and detective, crime thriller and adventures were my main attraction. But when I grew up a little, I was mostly attracted on the stories based on historical events and I am in continuous search of such mysterious and uncovered historical events online and offline. After knowing about Kuldhara I felt an urge in my mind to create something with this story and a concept of desert adventure popped up from subconscious mind. Before writing I have gone through various articles on Kuldhara, and related subject and a book named – ‘ Legends of Kuldhara
‘ by Malati Ramachandran helps me immensely to elaborate the story.
The idea of a reincarnated soul, or ‘Jwatishwar’ is central to your story. What inspired this concept, and how does it serve the narrative of uncovering the cursed treasure?
Answer: There is multiple information about the reincarnation available online. The most famous of all the case of Shanti Devi for whom Mahatma Gandhi sent an enquiry committee and the claims by Shanti Devi was also approved by Gandhiji himself. In Bengali stories Rabindranath Tagore wrote “Khudhito Pashan” and in recent years we find a very popular story ‘Sonar Kella’ by legendary filmmaker and story writer Satyajit Ray, in which a story of reincarnated boy leads to a desert adventure and from it a blockbuster movie was made by Ray himself. This movie made Jasalmer fort very famous. But after him no significant work have been done on Jasalmer and Jwatishwar (the reincarnated). My story is completely different from that of Ray, but It also have almost the same location and Jwatishwar. I think is a perfect tribute to the legends and readers can enjoy the essence of nostalgia.
Kuldhara is a village steeped in mystery and folklore. How much of the story is rooted in historical facts, and how much is fictional imagination?
Answer: There are two views regarding the abandonment of the villages of Kuldhara. The first one is the popular folklore which is the central of my story and second one is that the villages are not abandoned overnight but gradually due to scarcity of water. The Historical characters like Rawal Gaj Singh (king of Jasalmer), his minister Salam/Salim Singh and the Paliwals of Kuldhara were very much real. The house of Pradhan in Kuldhara is now renovated and is a tourist attraction. The Haveli of Salam/ Salim Singh still there inside the Jasalmer fort. My story is blend of historical facts and popular folklore.
Nisar, Sayra, and Parveen are fascinating protagonists. How did you develop their characters, and what do they symbolize within the larger context of the story?
Answer: As a practicing Gynaecologist I must meet many patients in the age group of Parveen and the parents and relatives of them. Mostly they are from middle class families and as I am also born and brought up in middle class family, it is not very difficult to realise their mindset and to build characters like them. Nisar, Sayra, Parveen and Mustaq represent the typical middle class family members irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Writing an adventure story requires vivid imagery and engaging pacing. Can you share any specific techniques or challenges you faced while bringing the desert setting and treasure hunt to life?
Answer: From the past experience of my writing of scripts I can tell some important points regarding the writing a proper adventure stories- a) Knitting of the storyline should be tight, b) To keep the suspense alive throughout the entire story, c) The beginning should be very interesting and d) The ending should be like this that after finishing the story reader must have a long lasting impressions about the story and should have a question in the mind – What’s next?
As we are now in T20 Cricket era and reading habits of the most people a bit changed. Now limited pages stories are more preferred over the big volume novels. So, my challenge was to make the story short but should be lively and full of suspense. And for this U have named every chapter of my story.
As someone involved in drama and short film direction, did your experience in visual storytelling influence how you structured or narrated the book?
Answer: It seems from your question that you have gone through the story deeply and a special thanks for that from me. Yes, it is true, when I write any script or story, I can see vividly the character and even there conversation and movements. And regarding this book I can tell you that I could realize the potential of the story as a film. For this reason, it is written as a continuous movie scenes format.
How do you balance creating suspense with respecting the cultural myths and legends that inspired the book?
Answer: Yes, balance is very important because I am not only telling the popular folklore but also there are contemporary history along with love stories and above all Jwatishwar insertion of right thing in right place to keep the suspense intact with pace is very nych needed. I have tried my level best and remaining opinion reserved to my readers.
The bond between Nisar, Sayra, and Parveen is at the heart of the story. How does their familial relationship drive the plot and reflect the story’s deeper themes?
Answer: In a middle-class family, the bond between the parents and their children is made up of love and affection and it is universal. If any of the family members are unwell then every member will be concerned, and it will jeopardise their daily lives. So, the concerns of the parents for their daughter is universal irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
What do you hope readers take away from Kuldharar Guptodhon? Do you envision it appealing to fans of mystery, history, or adventure—or perhaps all three?
Answer: I have tried to make the local folklore more attractive and to spread awareness regarding our past cultural heritage. The take home message is – No caste creed religion is superior to mankind and humanities.
I have written this book to reach readers of different mindset, if readers accept it in any form as I will be thankful to them and will try to entertain them with more attractive stories in the future.

Hyderabad: 27 June 2024: Hari, an ambitious young man, living a peaceful life with his wife Lalitha, quits his corporate slavery job and starts advising people about investments. He does not realize if his new friend, Kethaki, advising him about unbelievably high returns on investments is a blessing in his life or a curse. SI Vijay Rathod, investigating a 3-year-old financial scam case stumbles upon Hari and Kethaki. What does he find out? Why does Hari’s picture-perfect world change? This is how the story proceeds for the new feature film Who Con Thi? Starting like a love story, Who Con Thi? quickly changes genre to a slow-burn thriller, digging in depth into the shady and less-known world of Ponzi and multi-level marketing scams that have ruined millions of working-class people in India.
The story and concept of Woh Con Thi? is by Latha Rao, who has studied Ponzi and MLM scams for over 5 years, before coming up with the story of Woh Con Thi? Speaking to this correspondent, Latha says, “The film tries to show how the Ponzi and MLM scams operate and how they affect the lives of different people who are associated in some way, as investors, direct distributors, uplines, downlines, or family members. This subject has not been explored in films or web series in India, before.”
The screenplay of Woh Con Thi? is jointly written by the screenwriter duo Pinaki Ghosh and Deya Chakraborty. Pinaki Ghosh is a veteran screenwriter of over 100 films and television shows and has produced films. Screenwriter Deya Chakraborty said, “This is a research-based project and we had to study the procedure of how MLM and Ponzi companies lure millions of poor and working-class people into a bubble of hope and dreams; how they provide the initial money to win their trust, where does this money go and how an
MLM or Ponzi company finally collapses; what happens to different people after this massive collapse.”
The thriller-like approach, where there is a protagonist, who is the victim of a scam, a scam artist, and a cop who is trying to dig out the secrets, is going to make Woh Con Thi? worth a watch.
What is the difference between a biography and an autobiography?
Biography is one of the toughest books to write and can get overwhelming when you try to capture the journey of your entire life. A book about a life’s journey, struggles, and achievements written by a biographer is called a biography, while one written by the person whose journey it is, is called an autobiography. A biography is written in 3rd person, while an autobiography is written in first person. The myth is that a biography or autobiography is written for celebrities. The truth is that a biography or autobiography can be and should be written for anyone whose journey from rags to riches or from struggles to achievements can inspire new generations. You can Hire a biography writer or a ghostwriter biographer to get a biography or autobiography written.
You will be forgotten swiftly once you are dead; what to do about it?
Once we die, we are forgotten at an unbelievably fast speed. Our children will go back to their lives in 2 weeks, our spouse will start watching TV in 4 weeks, and people who are in the outer circle will stop thinking about us in a matter of days. All the work we have done in 35 years, all the memories related to the growing up years prior to that will be completely wiped out. All our work and photos stored in Google Drive and hard disk drives will be wiped out when we are gone. Some ways to keep our name in this world after we are gone are:
Working so well that we are nationally and internationally known. We still remember the names of William Shakespeare and writers, poets, and playwrights who lived hundreds of years ago, by their works. We remember some filmmakers, actors, and singers by their works. We remember some politicians, sportsmen, and scientists by their works. So one way to keep our name in this world after we are gone is to do something that big.
Build establishments that carry your name, that will remain decades after you are dead. Schools, hospitals, colleges, roads, railway stations, and airports that are named after people help generations after them to remember their names. You can build such establishments to keep your name alive.
You can get a biography written or write one on your own, so your journey is documented and not lost, for generations to come.
Seven reasons you should you get your, or your parents’ biography written
Documenting the achievements of a life and its journey:
A biography book documents all the milestone and small events of a life, so they are not lost or forgotten. It records events of a life’s journey, along with photos, so the achievements and milestones of a life are not lost.
Motivation for employees & outsiders; story of failures, roadblocks to success:
A biography can motivate masses; starting from a circle that knows you, like the employees of your organization or your younger family members to people who do not know you at all. Your story of rags to riches, your story of struggle to success can give courage to others that if you have been able to, they can too.
Transferring knowledge & life’s lessons learned through experience:
A life is full of experiences we gather. These experiences are our life’s lessons. We learn good lessons and bad lessons from our journey and want to share our life’s lessons with others. You can hire a biography writer to write your biography, to share your life’s lessons, so the readers can have a better life.
For the next/future generation in the family to know an ancestor:
Your future generations like grandchildren and great-grandchildren may not know about your achievements. They may know you as the good old grandfather or the photo on the wall. It is your biography that can generate their curiosity to know about you; their ancestor and be inspired.
Writing your parent’s journey is a tribute to your parent:
Getting your father, mother, elder family member or grandparent’s biography written while they are alive or after their demise can be a perfect way to offer them a tribute and your respect.
Tell your version of the story when the world knows a different version:
Things go wrong in life and we run into bad things. Litigations, legal issues sometime stain our lives that create roadblock in the rest of our journey. Sometimes the incidents are reported wrongly and you need to tell your version of the story, so the world knows the truth. A biography written by a biographer for hire can help you place your facts before the world.
To be a published author:
Publishing your biography or memoir combining your original life hacks, topics and tricks for survival can make you stand out as a published author, which can give you professional advantage if you are a life coach or trainer.
Who should get a biography written?
Almost anyone who has achieved anything in life at any level can consider getting their biography written. Your achievements need not be on a national level, but if your journey and struggles can inspire even a single soul, you can go ahead and get your biography written. Anyone from a corporate background, business owner, sports personality, political personality, scientist, teacher, media personality, news personality, artist – singer, actor, filmmaker, dancer, painter, theatre personality, can consider getting your life’s journey documented as a biography book.
What is the procedure of writing a biography?
Locate a professional biography writer for hire. Use Google.
Talk to him/her, discuss your book. See his/her profile and work samples.
A 50,000 word, or 200 page biography can cost you around INR 100,000, payable in 2 to 3 instalments at different stages. Interview costs and travel cost of the biographer if that is part of the plan, will be additional.
Sign a NDA (non disclosure agreement), covering terms like rate, estimate, timelines, non disclosure term, rights belonging to you.
There may be several interviews, via phone, video meetings, or face to face meetings. In the first casual meeting, try to cover your entire life in brief, so the biographer can list the milestones of your life as chapters. In subsequent interviews you can elaborate details about each chapter of your life. You can aso share inputs in the form of audio recordings by you. You can also share photos, related to your story.
You should be receiving updated versions of the book from your biographer. You can suggest changes and corrections.
You have to make intermediate payments as the work progresses.
If your Indian biography writer or memoir writer for hire is offering a publishing solution, you can go for it, because the final step is to get your book published. If he/she is not offering a publishing solution, you can locate a self-publisher or traditional publisher who is interested to publish your book.
Who can help write your biography and at what cost?
You can Google and search for affordable biography writers, who can be individuals or writing agencies that offer biographer for hire as a service. Indian biography writers like Pinaki Ghosh or agencies like Power Publishers have been offering this service for over a decade and can be considered. Cost may range from Rs 100,000 for 200 pages to Rs 150,000 for 300 pages.
Congratulations on the release of ‘Valobasar Jonya Porba – 1’. Tell us something about your book. Some highlights on the subject. How is it different from other, earlier books of this genre that were released recently?
This is collection of short stories. Each is based on my personal lifetime experience. Charecters are real but encased in my literary imaginative styles. Since I write by name Archi, the main male in each story bears same name. Also the female counterpart name is somehow, Shree. Each story ends with few lines of rhythm, mostly Rabindranath, sometimes others. The concept may be of a sad note Or otherwise, but ending spells out romanticism. That’s how the name of the book comes.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors? Sunil Ganguly, Samaresh Majumdar, Shankar, Arundhuti Ray, Chetan Bhagat, Sanjib Chattopaadhyaay, Suchitra Bhattacharya, Kalkut, Satyajit Roy & other great authors of last century.
We understand that you are one renowned Doctor in India and have to maintain a very busy schedule. Is writing your passion or something more special? Is there anyone who inspired you to become a writer?
Writing is my passion since childhood. Both English & Bengali. Poetry / stories. Never affects my professional carrier.
Indeed I am inspired by someone special. A singer, lyricist & musician. A humble, down to earth lady, though very famous. But my world is my kids, daughter Sukanya (academic genius & painter by hobby) & son Supantho ( a born musical talent). My late artist dad’s motivations & my mom’s blessings.
Please share some incidents of your life that have moulded a Doctor into a writer. Several lifetime experiences of thousands of patients. Always give a sympathetic ear to hear their stories. A doctor and a jailor can write very nice expressive incidences if common people.
What is the response of your readers so far? Great. Motivated me.
Please share more about Orchi and Shree? Are they inspired by your real life acquaintances? Both these characters are children, born out of my imagination. No connection with me. I am NOT Orchi☺
Do you have any plans to write in other genres as well? Songs. Novels.
Any words of advice from your experience for fellow young authors to encourage them?
Be vigilant. Use your eyes, ears and special senses. Be humble. Be caring. Your every contact throughout the day is a poem. A story.
Congratulations on the release of ‘Kabita Dali’. Please share something of your book with us. How is it different from other, poerties that were released recently?
The concept of this book lies deep seated on my observations of characters and situations from daily life. The joys & happy moments in lives of people. The deep rooted sorrows & depressions of my personal life. But primarily the continuous inspiration I get & that what encoursges me to pen my thoughts,is the presence of an important person in my life. She is not just an eminent singer, lyricist & musician, but a true artist. Both in her thoughts & attitude towards others. Her deep seated feelings, sad moments & cherished ones. I hope these mixed elements are keystones of my poetry.
Who is your favourite poet? Why him/her so special?
Rabindranath. Present in every walk of life. Wordsworh. The inspiration in my pensive moods.
What do you like most, novel or poetry?
Both
Can you please share the secret of being so comfortable in both genres, novel and poetry?
My vision of real life experiences & interactions with people from all walks of life.
First time at Kolkata book fair. How are you feeling as a published author? No this is the 2nd time. I am feeling honoured & humbled.
Have you planned anything to go ahead with your books? Are you interested in audiobooks?
Yes I am interested in any way to make my write-ups more available. Audio books definitely, talk of the day.
Tell us about your next or upcoming books. A collection of letters. A collection of songs.
Please share how much writing is affecting your daily life either mentally or emotionally.
Writing literature is the way to vent out my mundane joints of my professional existence.
Congratulations on the release of ‘Rising in the Safe House’. Tell us something about your book. Some highlights on the subject. How is it different from other, earlier books of this genre that were released recently?
Rising In The Safe House is about the need to break through the complacency which takes control of a system—in this case the judicial system—-and coaxes the system into believing that that it is beyond criticism or review and all is well within. The system therefore gets rigid, supercilious, insensitive and indifferent to human considerations. It forgets that it is not an isolated system but is expected to weave a harmonious fabric with the social patterns creating and manifesting a superior ambience. And changes are to be invariably accepted with open arms. I truly do not know of any particular book that touches the present subject matter. I am therefore not competent to comment on this.
What kind of books are you reading at present? How are those books inspiring you? I am reading Aurobindo at present—esp his expressions on Women. Aurobindo and his writing have always ignited the creative sparks in me. And there is nothing more divine than his poems. They are beyond space. Kamala Das is my favourite. Stark, realistic. But if one were to talk about the inspiration behind my writing it would be my father and Wilbur Smith. But I imitate none.
Please share some incidents of your life that have moulded a lawyer into a writer. No incidents. But observation. I think I have the intuition to turn an observation into a literary or a verbal expression and even expand it. And in the courts the ambience is in many ways volatile.Human reactions are strongly pronounced whether they come from the lawyers or the judges. My profession has not moulded me though. I am not moulded into a writer. I was always a writer. But I am a vulnerable human being. Vulnerable to nature, sentiments, and humane spaces. That is the labyrinth of my life and writing and I have alwys travelled safely even through the maze.
What do you want to convey to your readers through this book? Do not be afraid of truths. Allow yourself the courage to speak out against injustice. Let not cowardice be your friend and a garb. D o not ever forget that all systems need us to bring about the inevitable change. We stand for the conscience within. Be loyal to it.
What will be the next topic for your upcoming novel? Could be short essays or/and a short collection of poems. This time over probably a romantic novel. I am waiting and watching.
Are you planning to write in any other genre like something related to your profession? NO
Any words of advice from your experience for fellow young authors to encourage them?
Love it when you write. Do not get swayed away by writing patterns and styles. Create your own. There is hardly anything like old and new. The have to be beautiful creations. Read a lot of writings by other authors of different genres. It will expand your vistas. All the very best.
Congratulations on the release of ‘Welcome to the Land of Poems’. Tell us something about your book. Is it different from your previous book or is it the second part?
The book Welcome to the land of poems has poems and is like the first book. In this book there are poems which were originally stories. Yes it does have different content but the parameter for both the books is same.
What kind of books were you reading lately? Did that affect your recent book?
Yes, I was reading the novels of Oscar Wilde. So it had a story called The Canterville ghost. I have converted the same into a poem so that did affect this book.
How is study going on? What is your favourite subject and why?
My studies are going on quite well. My favourite subject is biology. The different systems in a body like the nervous, digestive, excretory, respiratory, circulatory, etc work is coordination, creates an interest in me to know more about them. I am specially interested in the circulatory system and would like to deepen my knowledge in it.
From when do you start to think of writing? Where do you want to see ‘Author Sampriti’ after a few years?
After reading the poem “The snail” by Ruskin Bond, I felt the urge to become a poet like him, as he wrote practical poems and stories and not imaginative. After a few years I want my poems to be published in school books and my book may turn out to be the best seller.
What are your hobbies?
I love to write poems and sing.
What carrier do you want to pursue in future? Do you see yourself as an established writer?
I want to be a gynaecologist in future. Yes, my school teacher always publishes my poems in the school magazine and the school board the charts are mostly prepared by me.
Tell us something about your upcoming book. Will tell when it comes. —
What will Author Sampriti want to say to her fellow students to inspire and motivate them?
I want to tell my fellow students that reading a book for scoring marks is important but reading for self satisfaction and gaining knowledge is more important.
